The Cardinal Who Cried Cat

On a nice sunny day in a small little town birds gathered to socialize and stretch in the big oak tree. Watching over the flock a small cardinal sat bored while the other birds had fun. Wanting some enjoyment on his watch the cardinal came up with a plan. “A cat! A cat! The cat is climbing up the tree,” yelled the cardinal.
The other birds, startled by the alarm, flew up high into the tree to where the cardinal sat.
“Where is the cat? I don’t see the cat,” questioned the other bird.

After a few moments the cardinal could not hold his laughter in any longer and let out a massive chuckle.

“Don’t do that!” yelled one of the other birds. “That is not funny!” With fury the other birds flew back down to the lower branch where they could get some sun and began to commence again.

After a while the cardinal sat still on watch in the top of the tree. Feeling the boredom began to overwhelm him again, the cardinal decided to get another laugh. With a deep breath he began to call, “A cat! A cat!”

Hearing the call, all the other birds flew up to the top of the tree again wondering where the cardinal had seen the cat. But again the cardinal waited a couple of moments then started laughing at the other birds. Irritated with the cardinal, the other birds flew down to the lower sunny branches. Laughing loud and boisterous, the cardinal sat up in the top of the tree barely able to breathe from laughing so hard.

A few moments past while the cardinal continued to laugh until he glanced down the tree to see a cat climbing up. The cardinal, scared with fear ,took a deep gasp of air and began to yell, “A cat! A cat! The cat is going to get you!” Looking up into the tree for a second, seeing that the cardinal was yelling, the others ignored the cardinal and went on talking. The cardinal flew frantically, watching the other birds not moving. As the cat moved closer to the other birds the cardinal covered his eyes and said, “Nobody believes a jokester.”

Pirate story for talk like a pirate day

A Pirate’s Log

Great waves of water sweep across the poop deck as the maties load the cannons.  Having just come out of his quarters the captain steps on the deck dressed long clothed ready for battle.

“Sail ho! We have a spanish galleon of the horizon, set to reef sails you swine, the ocean is a brewin’ a storm,” exclaiming the captain!
As sailors run around, the ship starts to close in on the spaniard vessel.
“Load the guns and prepare to board you scallywags!” yelling the captain again.
As the ships makes the final closing meters and the cannons are loaded as the captain continues giving orders.

“Fire in the hole!” the captain yells.

The with boisterous voices the sailors repeat the captains order down the line so that the other sailors can hear over the six pounders.
“Prepare to board,” the captain said while pulling out his razor sharp cutlass.
As sailors grab their blunderbusts and cutlasses, cannon balls flew through the Spanish ship sending many to Davy Jones Locker. Swinging across from ship to ship the battle rages on. Wood splinters and blood flew through the air until as if all at once the sounds stop with the pirates victory.
“It shouldn’t be quiet you scallywags, start yelling to tell the seven seas of our victory,” yelled the captain! With a violent roar every pirate on both ships yelled with all their lungs. Then out of the yelling some of the pirate crew came from the hold of the Spanish ship running out of the captain.

“Cap'n we've found some prisoners in the deck,” said a pirate.

“Ahoy! I know that picaroon!” said the captain. “Arr! What happened to ye buccaneer? Last time I saw ye you were marooned!”

The prisoner, loaded to the gunwalls, said, “I have been drinking rum all day long! That`s the only thing I know.”

“Show a leg! We're fighting for GOLD!” said Blackbeard.

“Let’s cross swords me friend. We’re going to be as rich as the queen of England!”

And as if two dancers the two pirates were now hoping around with the joy of victory.

“Dead men tell no tales,” said the Captain, “Let’s find the booty and then scuttle this ship!”.

And finally here it was, the TREASURE! Blackbeard`s eyes were as gold as the sun. He started wearing the King’s crown and counting all the doublons.  Then leaving the Spanish ship burning the pirate king set sail on the open sea.

Many people around the world are terrified of public speaking. I watch a video that was on the internet that someone had made about how they hate public speaking. On this video they listed many different challenges or thoughts people have while doing a speech. Some of the lines of this video were telling about what they thought the audience was thinking while they presented their speech. In the video they talked about all the things it makes them nervous. As I watched this video and saw the list of thing that makes them nervous I thought about when I am giving a speech on a topic that I do get a little nervous. But there is no reason to even get a little nervous because ninety percent of the time only you know the topic you are presenting. If you are the only one who knows what you are going to say how you can mess up. The people that you are presenting to are not going to be able to tell that you left something out. So for every one that has to give a speech don’t worry about it.

These gears represent me by how one of my career choices is to be a mechanical engineer. I always enjoy building new vehicles and creating new ideas. On my free time I find my self just sitting on CAD building things. Sometimes I think of CAD of being like a video game. CAD defiantly has been a life changer for me and a driven me to maybe wanting to be a mechanical engineer. I like to think of my self as being pretty good on CAD but I have met people that are amazing at building things on it. It is always nice to see someone that is better than you. I think it helps you drive forward and want to get better than them. Then as soon as you are better than them you find some one else to get better than and so on.

Judas Priest

This picture best represents me because it is my favorite band. I listen to Judas Priest every day. Their song will never get old. They have songs for intense times and easy going moments. Every time I listen to their heavy metal songs I want to bang my head or at least tap my foot. I like many of their songs but I always want to listen to The Hellion/Electric Eye. Judas Priest has the biggest discographies that I have ever seen, but that doesn’t stop me from getting every single one of there albums. I think that Judas Priest shaped the world with their music and will continue to through out time. So for all of you Judas Priest fans out there keep rocking hard and “Living After Midnight”.

Cross Country

This picture represents me because I am involved in Cross Country. I enjoy running it makes me fell good and it keeps my mind off of stressful things. I run about every day besides Saturday. I don't run on Saturdays so my muscles' can relax. I usually run anywhere from 3.1 to 6 miles during the week. In my opinion I think that Cross Country takes a lot of dedication to even attempt. When you are a runner so many health related things come into play. One would be that you have to eat healthy and when doing so you have to watch your carbs, which give you energy. Another thing you have to know about is your body itself. If you do not know how to stretch right or don't know how to fix certain problems then you are not going to make it. That is only just a few things about Cross Country that you have to watch, so when you see a Cross Country runner tell them they are doing a good job.

Gaming

This image represents me by how I love to play video games on my free time. This image is taken off of a game that I play the most frequenly which is called StarCraft 2. I barley have time play StarCraft 2 because I am always so busy. Video games has influenced my life greatly. They have influenced me making me think about career paths. One of the career paths I am thinking about going into would be video graphics and design. Video games are amazing they are so creative. I always like to go and preorder the new games that will be coming out, that look good that is. There is many awesome games coming out this fall I recomend you reserving them, it is worth it.
